Field Trip Day

This morning was Maddox's field trip to Gymnastic City. Another reason that I am so glad that I get to stay at home, I get to go on my kids field trips. The kids had so much fun. They got to jump on a trampoline, go down a big blow up slide, play in a ball pit, run and jump in a pit of foam blocks, and a few other fun things to play with. The best part of all was that he was worn out at the end of it.

Drive-In Movie Day

Today at King's Kids was our annual drive in movie day. The kids always love it. They can make a car anyway that they want to and bring it to school to sit in and watch the movie cars. It's a lot of fun to see the different cars that everyone comes up with. Since Maddox comes with me to King's Kids after he gets out of pre-k, he got to participate in part of the movie.

Matt has been gone again to the Philippines. Although he has only been gone a week, we all miss him a ton. Mia wrote him this note yesterday and wanted to mail it to him. My sweet daddy's girl!

Back In The Land of the Living!

Since my last post all three kids were sick for a week and a half. Thank goodness for two weeks of snow days so that no one missed any school. It was frustrating for me because two of them were really sick but we couldn't begin to get out to get them to the Dr. Thank goodness for a good stash of ibuprofen to get us through. I was the last one to get sick and just now am getting over it. I didn't have a voice forever and if you know me well, you know that I was dying. I love to talk! I ended up going to the Dr since Matt was getting ready to leave the country for another month. I had a sinus infection. So with the help of lots of drugs I feel much better and ready to get back to blogging!

It's A Pirate's Life For Me...Arrgh!

Tonight we had Maddox's 5th birthday party at Soiree in Collinsville. The cutest party place ever with awesome decor and two women who know how to throw a party. We had a blast! There was a jupiter jump, dress up, swords (Maddox's only wish was to play with swords!), musical chairs, of course cake, presents, and even some attempts at break dancing. While eating cake, the kids went around the table and said what they liked about Maddox. So fun to hear what each one said and oh so sweet!

Snowklahoma 2011

It's been a record setting week here in Oklahoma! We have had a blizzard with the most snow since 1994, I think, and today had the coldest temperature with a record low of -6. We got somewhere around 21 inches with insane snow drifts. Needless to say, we haven't gone anywhere all week! I have loved every minute of it except for the fact that the minute the blizzard started my children decided to get sick. It hasn't been a fun week for them but at least they haven't missed any school for sick days. I have been LAZY, watched some movies, cleaned out drawers, closets, kitchen cabinets, and the pantry. I have gotten little things done that I never have time to get done in my normal day. We even have worked on Valentines, hoping that we will be in school by then!!!

This was taken during the blizzard on Tuesday. I could barely get out the door to get this picture of the shed. See how high the snow is on the door?

Seriously crazy snow drifts.

Definitely thankful for a nice warm house. Glad that we planned ahead as well. From pictures people have been posting, you can't find milk, eggs, or bread anywhere! Tomorrow we may even venture out of the house!!!!

Watch Out! She's Getting Crafty!!!

Over the last couple of months I have been working on some projects. Some are finished and others.....well, someday I might be able to post on them. Thought I would share a few with you and pretend that you care to see them :)
Mia had two bedlam days at school right before bedlam football. She had outgrown all of her cowboy gear so I made her this shirt for one of the days. The other one, I made a frayed flower out of OSU fabric and attached it to the top/side of a shirt. For some reason I didn't get a picture of it. She had fun with them especially since her teacher is an OU alumni.I cannot lie on this one. One of my students at preschool was wearing a shirt like this and I totally copied it. I thought it was too cute not too! She wore this for her Christmas party at school and for our different Christmas get togethers.
You may have seen this one with Mia's birthday party post. Every year I usually make her a shirt for her birthday. This one she wore with a pink pettiskirt to go along with her pinkalicious party.
This was our Christmas project for the year. I came up with the idea and Matt and my dad saved me and did the manual labor for it. Matt's grandpa had a field with a ton of "stuff" on it. There were a ton of license plates so we got them all and went to work. Matt is actually thinking about selling some. As cool as they are I think he could!

I have some Valentine projects that I am working on along with some picture frames that should turn out really cool! I'll keep you posted!!!
